About the Event
Stephanie Crawford is a death doula and hospice nurse living in San Francisco, CA. She began her nursing career working on a busy trauma and oncology unit at one of the largest hospitals in Northern California. It was here that she was introduced to the complexities of our current healthcare system, especially when it came to navigating end-of-life care. She believed that death had the opportunity to unfold differently and desired to help folks prioritize quality of life, comfort, and meaning at the end of their lives. In 2019, she became a hospice nurse and began her death doula training with Going with Grace. She has since established her personal death doula practice, Awakened Endings, which seeks to alleviate the fear and anxieties that accompany death and dying, and to help folks awaken to the mystery and beauty of death as a sacred part of our lives.
