About the Event
It's breakfast for dinner month!! And in honor of black history month we are serving up a side of delicious grits!!
You will find the ingredients below to cook along, or just come hang out for a social gathering.
INGREDIENTS:
- 4- 6 large eggs
- Any veggies/and or meat you love in an omelet (green peppers, onions, mushrooms,tomatoes, spinach, red peppers,bacon, ham, black beans etc)
- Cheddar cheese,or pepper jack, or non-dairy cheese
- 1 teaspoon of salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon of Mrs. Dash Table blend spice
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
- 1 teaspoon of olive oil
- ¼ cup of milk or plain non-dairy option (will use twice, once for eggs, once for grits)
Tools:
- Medium non-stick Skillet
- Medium pot
- Large Spoon
- spatula
- Cutting board
- Chef knife
- Measuring spoons & cups
- Whisk
- Mixing bowl
- 1 cup of Grits (preferably old-fashioned or yellow stone ground grits)
- 4 cups of water
- ¼ cup of milk or plain non-dairy option
- ½ stick of butter of choice (4 tablespoons)
- 1 and ½ teaspoon of salt and pepper
- I use himalayan salt, if your using sea salt, kosher, or iodine salt please reduce the amount to avoid saltiness
