So who is our expert?
Pat Carter, PhD is a tenured Professor of nursing and Associate Dean of Graduate programs at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Over the course of her 40+ year career in nursing, Pat has worked with patients and families in hospitals, home health, and hospice settings. This rich clinical work has combined with 30+ years of research focused on understanding what contributes to quality of life in vulnerable populations. Time and again Pat learned that sleep was a common problem across groups. In response she has developed and tested behavioral treatments to promote sleep quality in persons with cancer or dementia and their family caregivers. Using sleep science to empower people to improve their sleep quality, is her passion and sharing her knowledge brings joy.
A sleep toolkit will be sent to everyone who attends at least one session.
Your address will be asked for at registration. If no address is given, we will assume that you do not want to receive a tool kit.
