About the Event

Join us for this special chat with Project Life Board Member, Darcy Burbage, an oncology nurse navigator.  

She will be answering all of your questions regarding navigating  through the healthcare system, and providing encouragment and insight in being the best you, advocating for quality of life.  

You don't want to miss this.  

Darcy Burbage is a recognized leader in Oncology Nursing having served on the Boards of several professional and patient advocacy organizations including the American Cancer Society, Cancer Support Community, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, and currently, the Oncology Nursing Society. Darcy has over thirty years oncology nursing experience and has worked with people living with cancer and their families in a variety of settings including inpatient care, clinical trials, community outreach, supportive and palliative care as well as the Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Christiana Care Breast Center. In addition to her clinical experience, she has authored articles, books chapters, online courses as well as presented locally, nationally and internationally on multiple oncology topics and is a past recipient of the Pearl Moore Making a Difference Award as well as the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Hometown Hero Award. Her research interests include symptom management, palliative care and people living with metastatic cancer. Darcy is passionate about helping patients maximize their quality of life and in mentoring new oncology nurses.
