Clifton is both a registered nurse and a farmer. He is The Nurse Farmer.
Being a member of the LGBT community, The Nurse Farmer understands how health
disparities can affect the LGBT community. While there are no guarantees, there are certainly steps LGBT people can take to help reduce the risk for diseases and live healthier lives. It is The Nurse Farmer's mission to help address and reduce those disparities. The Nurse Farmer advocates gardening as a way of living a healthier life. Gardening benefits all three domains of body, mind, and spirit. Sprouting vegetables from seed, growing herbs in containers, playing in the soil, creating yard art, and cooking healthier foods are just a few examples of activities that The Nurse Farmer advocates for promoting LGBT health the holistic way.
