I'm Jen. I was diagnosed in May 2017 with stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer in my right breast. It just through myself & everyone I knew for a loop. So I went through chemotherapy which was rough at times, but it at least shrunk the tumor. Then, I had a mastectomy. I made the choice to get a bilateral mastectomy, but decided to wait until after 5 years to get reconstruction done. Finally, radiation which was the last part. In early 2018 I had finished it all & was just doing my visits with my oncologist.

In 2019 I found a lump on my chest that looked odd to me. I was unsure if it was a cyst or something else. I contacted my oncologist who sent me to the dermatologist to have it removed & biopsied. It came back as the same cancer Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I had scans done that came back with the results of 2 or 3 lymph nodes that showed some signs of cancer & some very small dots on my lungs that were too small to biopsy. I was told it was stage 4 because it had spread to my skin. However, it appeared that it did not spread too far before making its presence known. There was an immunotherapy (Tecentriq) & chemotherapy (Abraxane) combination that had just been approved for my cancer so I was put on that. I have been in remission now for 2 years & am praying for many more.
